This piece was inspired by my daily evening walks to watch the sun set on the horizon over the Pacific Ocean. Living just a few blocks from the beach, I treasure the many sunsets I see and wanted to capture the beauty through a mixed medium piece featuring both acrylic paint with thousands of brush strokes, cotton balls to add texture to the clouds, and shattered glass to serve as the bridge between the sky and the water. The green represents the sliver of green many claim to see as the sun sets- I myself have yet to see this marvel of color on the horizon
