When creating the concept for “Cleo 1623",” an extraterrestrial planet, I reach for inspiration on Earth through the large mountains in Wadi Rum, the Arches in Utah, and the colors found in the animal kingdom. These two pieces are examples of the terrain found on Cleo 1623, bold and forgiving hills, playful arches, and whimsical colors. This is part of the broader Cleo 1623 exhibit and is a diorama for some of the topography found on this planet.
