A picture is worth 1,000 words
The painting that started it all. Early in my artistic journey, when I had time in between jobs, I decided to write 1,000 words on a 36” X 40” canvas. After letting it sit in my closet for almost two years, I decided to get it back out and paint on top of it, modeling the lightness of clouds with blues and splashes of hopeful color
You can faintly see the 1,000 word underpainting of this canvas that poetically describes a sunflower field at sunset with mountains in the background and a woman and son in the foreground. The textured clouds represent the variety of shapes, textures, and colors they take on throughout the seasons
Material: acrylic paint on canvas
